7:00 pm Blue Christmas Vespers

Sat, Dec. 10
10 am – 2 pm Selfies with Santa
Dress up your little ones, grab your camera (or phone) and come to Live Oak for free pictures with Santa! Rather than stand in line to see Santa, you can sign in, then decorate a small gingerbread house, shop at the bake sale and craft fair, or hear a story. We’ll call you when it’s your turn!
Sun, Dec. 11
10 am “Christmas Pageant” worship service
Come join us for this decidedly untraditional pageant where everyone (who wants to) is invited to participate!
Sat, Dec 17
5 pm Winter Solstice Labyrinth Walk
Please join us at the entrance to the Live Oak UU Labyrinth. Light is returning, just as we are returning to the Live Oak Labyrinth! All are welcome—adults and children. We walk to prepare for the longest night on the Winter Solstice. We also celebrate the return of the light—the spark of the divine light in each one of us, the warmth of community, and the promise of renewed hope for 2023.
Sun, Dec 18
10 am “How the UUs Saved Christmas” worship service
Christmas is a mix of the secular and the religious, the sacred and the frivolous. What you may not know is the extent to which Unitarian Universalists have shaped this holiday. From the music, to the decor, to the family-oriented holiday itself, the day would not exist as we know it without UU contributions.
Sat, Dec 24
6 pm Candlelight Christmas Eve Service
All ages are invited to this service of readings and carols celebrating the story of Christmas.
Sun, Dec. 25
10:00 am ONLINE “Cozy Christmas Morn” worship service
Stay home in your jammies on Christmas morning, but turn on the Live Oak online Christmas service, filled with stories and holiday music.
Saturday, Dec. 31
8:00 pm New Year’s Eve Labyrinth Walk
Join us as we celebrate the end of the old year and the beginning of the new.  We’ll have a fire pit in the center of the labyrinth, and we’ll proclaim our hopes and visions for 2023.
