Vibrant Progressive Congregation Seeks Music Director

Live Oak Unitarian Universalist Church seeks a part-time (20 hrs/week) Music Director to nurture and direct our choir, coordinate guest musicians and member musicians, and work with the minister to produce rich, creative worship services that engage a wide range of musical tastes.

Live Oak is a deliberately intergenerational congregation, with an appreciation for musical genres from punk to Americana to classical. Understanding how music evokes emotional responses is a plus. The Music Director’s job is to inspire and to teach the congregation; you will be working with a range of musical talent. We are a liberal, progressive religious community; supporting the values of anti-racism, LGBTQIA+ affirmation, and intracultural competency is a must.
