  • 1st Sunday: Voting Rights Table in the Narthex before and after service.
  • 1st Tuesdays: LitWits Book Club  7:00-8:30 pm in the Library.
    • This month’s selection: A Thousand Ships by Haynes
  • Every Wednesday: Community Sack Lunch at noon in Fellowship Hall
  • 1st & 3rd Wednesdays:  Deep Thought Discussion Group 6-7 pm
  • 1st & 3rd Thursdays: Senior’s Coffee Hour 10 am in the Library
  • 3rd Thursdays Crafty Knots crafting group 6:30-8:30 pm in the library
  • Every Friday:  Work-From-Church (8:00-5:00) Rooms 105 & 106  
  • 2nd Fridays- LOUU Happy Hour 5-7 pm
  • 3rd Fridays – Fresh Food for All – Volunteer Opportunity 9-11 am
  • 4th Friday: Voting Rights Team meeting by Zoom, 1-2pm
  • 1st & 3rd Saturdays: Parents of Young Children 9-11 am. Childcare provided.
    • 1st Saturday meets in library, 3rd Saturday meets in room 109
  • 2nd Sunday, Exploring Membership for those wanting more information about membership, 11:15 in the Library.

Steps to Becoming a Member

 

Membership Team

Our Mission is to cultivate an inviting and welcoming community  which promotes connection, belonging and growth by utilizing the unique skills and talents of its members.

To accomplish this mission, our Membership Team:

Provides and facilitates Radical Welcoming to support all of the LOUU community in welcoming and engaging visitors.

Connects and follows up with Visitors

Facilitates Exploring Membership Workshop

Follows up with New Members periodically to ensure successful integration into congregational life 

Coordinates with  Congregational Life to help plan LOUU activities.

Coordinates with DLFD congregational meetings on Radical Welcoming

Coordinates with Marketing for outreach to potential visitors

Creates/maintains a web page featuring video of members describing why/what they like about Live Oak

Monitors and evaluates membership status for outreach and goal attainment in monthly meetings
