Faith Development 9.14 to 9.20

Family Faith Development – (Children & Youth)

New to Live Oak? If you are interested in visiting a class, and are not registered for RE, please send me an email at

Attending and not already registered? A link for RE registration is in the right sidebar. After you register, you are added to an RE email list for your child’s age group. Registered families receive regular emails from me with zoom links and other information. Watch the welcome video on our faith development overview page for an explanation of how we gather each week.

We gather each Sunday for a chalice lighting, story, sharing, and dialogue. Younger children should be accompanied by an adult to help with technical issues. In addition, registered families receive information about a Live Oak Padlet that contains each week’s lesson plan (in case you missed it). The site includes optional activities for home related to the session. You can post pictures of your family doing the activities directly to the Padlet site, or share in one of our FB groups.

If you registered for a chalice circle, you will receive an email this week with information about how to begin. Our groups are not full, so those who are still interested can register throughout the year and join a group if there is space. Please sign up HERE. Need more information about Chalice Circles? Read this.

Acorn Groups

Have you been a member of Live Oak for less than a year? You might want to join an Acorn group. These short-term groups are a chance for you to get to know us better and for us to get to know you better. For more information or to sign up for an Acorn Group, please contact

Don’t forget to visit the learning resource page for adults if you have the time to engage in more than what is happening at Live Oak.

Have an idea for a one time or ongoing online gathering that you are willing to lead? If you do, let us know and we’ll help with scheduling and publicity. And be sure to follow us on Facebook and subscribe to the newsletter for opportunities for online engagement.
