Job Opening-Organizing Minister (part time)

Organizing Minister (1/2 time) Start date Jan. 1,2004-Wildflower Church-We are a 2 year old Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Austin, Texas offering one Sunday worship service and children's religious education. For more information about the church, our website is: www.wildflowerchurch.org. The Minister's work will be to assist in the continuing development of church operations and membership growth. The Minister's main tasks:

	Work with the Worship Team and serve as worship leader one Sunday per month and as service leader one Sunday per month
	Work with the Religious Education Team on program development
	Work with the Caring Committee to develop a Pastoral Care Program
	Work with the Communications Team to develop a public relations strategy that will attract people from the South Austin community
	Work with the Membership Team to develop programs to attract, integrate, and retain new members
	Work with the Stewardship Team to develop a program of planned giving to strengthen our financial base
	Work with the Convenant Group Team to strengthen and increase the number of covenant groups
	Attend Board meetings and work with the Board on policy development Attend Committee Council meetings

This part-time (80 hours) ministerial contract position will pay at the rate of $2,500 per month for 12 months ($30,000 per year) with an option to renew for a specific number of months. We are looking for an energetic, personable individual who:

	Respects the 7 UUA Principles
	Has a Master's degree from a seminary or divinity school
	Has professional experience in a similar position
	Has experience in growing a congregation.
