Selected Live Oak Sermons

Here is a taste of what you can hear at our church. Kathleen Ellis includes most of her sermons here, so come back monthly for thought-provoking ideas from her!

We have not added many new Chuck Freeman sermons from 2000 until present, because that darned Chuck has taken to not writing down his sermons! We do record him though, so see below to hear both ministers'  sermons in trendy MP3 format.

Sermon Recordings

Recordings of the Sunday sermons and parables are available in MP3 format.  When you click on a recording, it will be downloaded to a temporary folder on your computer, so be sure you have space for the file you wish to listen to. Once downloaded, your preferred sound playing software will come up, and the sermon will play for you, or you can put it on your iPod or other MP3 player to enjoy anywhere!

bullet Below are links to the class notes for the History of the Unitarian Universalist Movement class led by our Ministerial Intern Brian Ferguson in the spring of 2009.

The purpose of this course was to help understand in some depth the history and defining religious concepts of the Unitarian and Universalist traditions, what led to the merger of these two religious traditions, and how our tradition and history can guide us today. Both our Unitarian and Universalist histories were explored.
