Summer Theme: Finding Your Way in the Natural World

Overview:

The summer program is designed to encourage exploration on a topic through art or outdoor/science activities. It consists of stand-alone lessons that can be more powerful when combined, but also cater to sporadic summer attendance.

The program is geared toward K-5th grade. Middle School students are invited to participate or serve as helpers or leaders for classes. High Schoolers may also wish to lead or assist in classes.

Some of our summer topics include:

Stars and Constellations
Birds
Rainbows & Water
Bug Hunting
Protecting our Environment
Our Sun

If you have questions about the program, please contact Carrie Krause, dlfd@liveoakuu.org.

And don’t forget to bring a water bottle and dress for outdoor time, including sunscreen!
