Sixth, Seventh, & Eighth Grade

Middle School Youth Group is designed to meet the needs of growing adolescents as they explore more deeply who they are, how they fit in, what they believe, how to be leaders and how to act for justice in our world. Adult advisors provide guidance and learning opportunities, while supporting the development of leadership and expression of our youth’s beliefs in the church community.

This year we will focus on justice-making through lessons on linked oppression, conflict resolution, how to be an ally and personal growth in values that counteract the marginalization of others. The young youth will also have time for fellowship and fun as they rotate through various activities on Sunday morning.

This year we will kick off with a parent/youth potluck dinner in September to welcome upcoming 6th graders and to get acquainted. Watch the newsletter for the date and time!
