UUA Common Read discussion on Justice on Earth: People of Faith Working at the Intersections of Race, Class, and Environment, you can read more about it here. The discussion will be on April 14 from 12:15 to 2:00 p.m. Bring a lunch and join in the conversation. Childcare may be provided upon request at least two weeks in advance.
Children & Youth
High School Youth Field Trip was a great success. 5 youth and 2 adults braved the very chilly weather and helped the Austin Atheists Helping the Homeless organization distribute food, clothing and personal items to the homeless. I hope to develop an ongoing trip like this for next fall and possibly extend it to younger youth as well. Stay tuned!
This month’s theme is pneumatology and we will be looking at spiritual practices in all of our classes. We will use art, meditation and movement as our spiritual practices during the next four weeks.
Remember that you can find the latest information about Faith Development programming on the Learning pages of the Live Oak website or in the newsletter. Please keep yourself informed about what is happening.
