A Dream Incubator
Actor and Unitarian Universalist Christopher Reeve said, “So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable.”
What do you dream of? Live Oak is a dream incubator. Mary Hengstebeck dreamed of helping people learn English, and our ESL program was created. Hella Holoubek and Alice Sessions dreamed of a peaceful place for memorials and celebrations, and our Chalice Pathway was formed. Larry Smith dreamed of our government treating undocumented immigrants fairly, so Live Oak members joined him in social witness outside our congressman’s office. Many of us dream of a Texas where gay and lesbian couples don’t have to leave the state to be legally married, so we rallied at the capitol for marriage equality.
What is your dream?
How can Live Oak help you to make it inevitable?
