The truest hospitality is shown not in the effort to entertain, but in the depth of welcome. What a guest loves to come, and come again for is not the meal, but those who sit at the meal.”~William C. Gannett, Unitarian clergyman

Circle Suppers are coming back! If you are new to Live Oak, they are informal pot lucks of small groups of people held in someone’s home. It’s a great opportunity to have fun, get to know each other better, and eat good food! You do not have to be a member to sign up or host and we encourage new folks to participate.

The couple or person who hosts provides the home and coordinates who brings what dish. The host usually provides drinks and maybe a dish, maybe not! It’s all up to the host! Circle suppers can be kid friendly or adults only – up to the host!

Please let Carolyn Dower ( know if you would be willing to host on September 19th and let her know the specifics: time you want to start, how many you can handle, and if it’s for adults only or kids welcome, too.

To make these successful we need people not only to volunteer to host, but people to come and enjoy good food and good conversation. It’s a great way to get to know each other better and help create community.
