2014 Fall Campout
Live Oak UU’s Fall Campout took place at Inks Lake State Park the weekend of October 17-19, 2014. It was beautiful camping weather, and about 65 Live Oak UU members and friends enjoyed that great weather at Inks Lake State Park. There was hiking, exploring, kayaking, swimming, a birthday pinata and as one member said, “kids roaming around in a big, slightly feral pack! There were bassett hounds, campfires, starry skies, marshmallows, hot dogs and s’mores. There was one huge potluck and lots of laughter and conversation. All in all, a very successful fall camp out.

2013 Fall Campout
Lockhart State Park was the beautiful setting for last weekend’s Fall Campout. More than 60 people turned out (you read that right!), ranging in age from 8 mos. through 70+! There were just about as many kids as there were adults. Despite a little rain and mud, everyone enjoyed a variety of activities including hiking, biking, baby-holding, sitting around and visiting, potlucking, singing, playing with bubbles and glow sticks, and tree-climbing.
