Billy Jonas (Asheville, NC) and Eric Schwartz (Massachusetts)
Billy Jonas is a singer/songwriter, guitarist, "industrial
re-percussionist," and a one-man-band whose primary instrument is the
audience.
Eric Schwartz spins tales from a tangled inner web, approaching each
song as if it was its own one-man show. Refusing to be pigeonholed by form,
genre, or instrument, including that of his own voice, Schwartz has been
entertaining audiences for more than ten years in the US and abroad.

Yarmouth,
Maine native Anni Clark recently celebrated her 21st anniversary of
self-employment in the music industry. With thousands of gigs, a million miles,
and five solo albums under her belt, her passion for communication through music
continues to build a widespread and loyal audience for her folksy, bluesy, and
sometimes witty recordings and performances.
October 2002 marked the official release of Big Water, her fifth and
strongest recording to date. The new CD is a melodic, metaphorical journey...
equal parts turbulent, rollicking, and contemplative, with an overall feel that
is colorful and uplifting.
Beth Williams is shown at right.
She is a Texas Hill Country artist who owns her own record company. Lloyd Maines,
one of the most sought after producers in Texas , and Co Producer of Beth's
latest CD, In This Old House, says "Besides the obvious, great
singer and guitar player, Beth Williams bares her soul in her songs and
performance. This is a brave and good thing." In the rising tide of Texas
music, Beth Williams rides the wave high with her beautiful voice, accompanied
by intriguing guitar , cutting her own unique path, following her call to music
on this journey of song.

Next time you go to a Kennedys concert,
watch them, and I mean REALLY watch them. They look like they would be standing
on the stage singing the same songs even if every single person in the club were
to get up and leave. Like, they couldn't imagine being anywhere else, or doing
anything other than singing and playing. We, as the audience, sit and watch
them, and we can't imagine seeing or doing anything else either. We sit with our
mouths hanging open, jaws touching the ground. Our eyes never avert from the
magic of maura and pete's voice blending together to create a new, third, voice.
Our brain struggles to comprehend the awe that we feel for their amazing guitar
playing. We don't know whether to clap, smile, cry, or tilt our heads in
amazment... so we do it all at once. We also stare in wonder at their outfits,
and try to decide how much we'd have to pay them for their wardrobe.(from

Edge City are a versatile band at home with acoustic and way rocking
electric presentations. Jim and Sherry will show you a good time!

February 14 -- Bring your love to the
Coffeehouse!
Steve Fisher and Jamie Byrd (San Francisco, CA)
The Undercurrents (Austin) open
"Steve Fisher
comes from a long line of folk artists, Jerry Jeff Walker, Guy Clark, Nanci
Griffith and Bill Staines, who know a good tune when they write one, and better
yet, know how to perform their tunes effortlessly and sincerely." -Dirty
Linen "Jamie Byrd writes imaginative songs with a master painter's eye,
creating pictures and portraits with an inventive sense of melody and
intelligent writing. Her voice and harmonies soar effortlessly across the
octaves, accompanied by an intricate and original fingerpicking style."
The
Undercurrents perform an eclectix mix of originals. Janet and Rebecca love
everything from jazz, blues, and folk/rock to celtic, gospel, bluegrass, and
country. While their songs are mostly folk/rock, their music reflects this
diversity of styles and the sweet blend of vocals adds to their stories of
longing, love, and many other emotions.
Singer-guitarist Janet writes powerful music from the heart. Her soulful
voice ranges from gutsy lows to ethereal highs. Singer Rebecca's skillful songs
combine her love of folk, rock, and country. Rebecca is quite simply an
exquisite singer. Her songs are both witty and haunting and are laced with
irreverence.
Al is brilliant on acoustic guitar and mandolin. His subtle style fused with
his love of jazz standards gives his playing beauty and depth.
