Mixing her own material with that of her favorite writers, Sarah makes
music to soothe heart aches and east dark nights of melancholy and longing.
"Her voice is unvarnished with a strength and passion at its center and a
dusty, almost ragged quality around the edges." Accompanied by Paul Sweeney
on mandolin, Brian Wood on lead guitar, and David Heath on bass.
Brenda Freed's extraordinary versatility and range have made her a
regular on the Texas music scene since she arrived in the Hill Country in 1991
by bicycle -- after a 9,000-mile ride. Now, she is broadening those horizons,
enchanting audiences throughout the Southwest, Midwest and England with her
exuberant, energetic stage presence, engaging songs and clear, soulful voice.

Brendan Milburn on keyboard/vocals; Valerie Vigoda on violin/vocals; Gene
Lewin on drums "present a mercurial folk-rock sound with dynamic rock
flourishes and sweet sounding subtlety." "The violin line should
dispel any worry by rock fans about Groovelily being classical, and the
almost-folk sound should attract country fans interested in something new and
different."
Jeffrye Tveraas opens the show. A great guitarist and a great guy, whose
songs teach you a lot about loneliness and hope.

"The show-stopping set came from Kevin So (left) of Boston, who
could become the first Asian American blues star...minimalist guitar picking
that put the holes back into the music...Well crafted original balladry and a
silky Stevie Wonderish tenor held the audience entranced...The big
discovery." -- Steve Brooks covering the Kerrville Folk Festival for the Austin
Chronicle.
Opening the show is
Eric Gerber (right). "Eric Gerber is a [...] singer/songwriter
with an engaging, accessible baritone that can turn soft and sweet with a love
song, and then gutsy with a bit of a raspy edge when singing the blues. He's
also an accomplished musician, often accompanying himself on mandolin, bass and
percussion, as well as guitar." (from his website)

Danny Santos (right) melds the inspiration of his
Tejano heritage and a musical legacy ranging from Hank Williams to the Beatles
to create a unique mix of country-folk tinged with bluegrass and the
blues. Kerry Grombacher (left, above) writes contemporary folk and western
songs as well as country.
Rick Steinburg opens the show.

"Turbo-charged folk-grass," "an energetic explosion...of
bluegrass based tunes and front-porch Ozark funk." As lead singers with
Still on the Hill, Donna Henschell and Kelly Mullhollan won Best Folk
Awards in Arkansas several years running.
