Steve Gillette and Cindy Mangsen, a husband/wife team of
singers/songwriters/musicians have separate reputations and musical histories,
but together they are purely magic. Steve is best known as a songwriter for
artists such as John Denver and Linda Ronstadt and as a skilled guitarist. Cindy
is renowned for her compelling voice and her collaborations with Priscilla
Herdman and Anne Hills. Sing Out Magazine reports "whether the song be a
500 year old ballad, an early blues, or an original composition, Gillette and
Mangsen combine respect and intuition for a captivating performance." Al
Evans from Austin opens the show.

Karen Abrahams and Reckless Abandon

Ed Miller is originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, and now lives in
Austin, Texas. He is a product of the 1960's folk revival in Scotland, has
toured throughout North America, and his repertoire is representative of the
breadth of the Scottish folk revival. From children's street songs to songs of
nationalism, emigration and urban life, a performance by Ed Miller is both
educational and entertaining.
Andy
Wilkinson is a writer and singer of contemporary western folk music. Through
his poems and songs, he weaves images of people and places in telling the tales
of the American West of yesterday and today. His material comes from true
stories of the past and present, real events in the lives and times of the
people of the West.

Joe & Tree Brunelle, a husband and wife duo, have been making
beautiful music together for the last decade. From the campfires of Kerrville to
the most respected halls, clubs, restaurant-bars, house concerts and listening
rooms around the country, Joe & Tree have thrilled audiences with their
insightful songs and flawless vocals. Ken Gaines and Wayne Wilkerson
complete the lineup.

September 14
Tim Henderson and Friends (Austin, TX)
Opener: Trey Bone (Austin, TX)
Tom Paxton, indisputably one of the finest songwriters of the last several
decades, has called Tim Henderson "my idea of an American
songwriter." Austin's own Toni Price has recently released Tim's song
"Rusty Old Red Rive: on her new CD and Peter Yarrow, of Peter, Paul, and
Mary fame, wrote that Tim's song "Maria Consuelo is a "magnificent,
moving, powerful, salt-of-the earth song." Appearing with Tim in this show
are autoharp virtuoso Lindsay Haisley, the renowned Doo Wop singers, including
Liz Henry, and other special guests. Trey Bone, a trio from northwest Austin, open
the show.

Humanity
If music were a meal, Bill Ward would be a banquet. He plays over 30
different instruments and has written over 300 songs, ranging from folk to jazz,
country to classical, and rock to reggae. Bill' s songs are intelligent,
down-to-earth portraits that capture the very soul of his audience and
beautifully capture the triumphs and tragedies of our everyday lives. Joining
Bill for this special show are Dirje Smith on cello and Mike Lindauer
on bass.
Alan White and Jeanne Donovan from Kansas City open the show. Alan is a
gifted songwriter and guitarist and Jeanne is a superb singer who also sings
backup with Bill Ward.
