The UUCF’s Meditation/Centering Prayer group meets Sundays at 2:00 pm in Room 103. Everyone is welcome, whether you are looking for a centering prayer or contemplative prayer group, a meditator from another tradition looking for a group to sit with on Sunday afternoon, a newcomer wanting to learn more about meditation or centering prayer, or just want to try it out. Please come if you are interested, even if you’ve never been to any of our sessions before. We regret that we do not have childcare available. Although our format may vary, our meetings generally involve a few brief reflective readings, followed by 20-30 minutes of silent meditation or prayer, as you prefer.
If you have questions or want to know more about what we do or what the readings look like, please contact Katharine Marvin (kamarvin@earthlink.net). For more information about centering prayer or the contemplative prayer tradition in Christianity, see www.centeringprayer.com.
