Take-Part Photos

Home Up Take-Part Photos Buildings to Evaluate Building Ideas

Once we selected the Stewardship firm to work with us on our church, they held an informal and fun meeting, which they called the "take-part," to help them get to know our needs and to help us get to know them. Gayle Borst and her staff did a great job of providing us with materials and setting for creative brainstorming.

Here are some photos of this event, which was held on Sunday, April 9, 2000. Click on any small photo to see it enlarged. Thanks to Stewardship for providing the photos and to Perry Statham for scanning them.

Before the meeting began, members of the Live Oak congregation placed dots on charts that listed ideas for spaces in our new church and activities we would like to do.

A nice meal followed the dot placing, along with introductions of participating Stewardship staff.

Our next activity was brainstorming about spaces we'd like to see in the church. We were randomly divided into groups, trying to mix everyone thoroughly. Each table had a facilitator from Stewardship.

We also brainstormed about how we would like the spaces to relate to each other.

Our final task was to take maps and arial photos of the property and create ideas for where to put buildings, paths, gardens, parking etc.

We used all sorts of interesting materials to create our maps.
