Carr's book is an historical mystery set in late Victorian times. It features Teddy Roosevelt as New York police commissioner; a role he played in real life. October 2000This year, we decided to change our monthly meeting date from Thursday nights to the third Monday of the month. We liked meeting in one another's homes last year so we'll be continuing that. Meetings will begin at 7:15 PM with socializing then we'll plan on beginning the book discussion promptly at 7:30 PM. We plan to again meet in one another's homes in the future. At the August meeting, we plan to visit a while (!) then select the books we'll be reading Aug-Dec. Anyone newcomer is welcome to join the group at any time--we love having new friends! We'll be using our annual Dec meeting/party to select the spring books.
