Oak UU Church is a member of the Southwestern Unitarian Universalist Conference (SWUUC),
known also as the Southwest District. There are 23 districts in the continent. Our
district is one of the geographically larger districts covering Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas,

such a large area, there are only a few more than 70 congregations with nearly 10,000

The district has two co-District Executives Dr. James Brown and Rev. Bob Hill. In June,
2000 Dr. Brown will be retiring and Bob Hill will become the full time DE. Marjorie
Montgomery is the District's Religious Education Consultant. Alva Dennis is in a
relatively new position as Consultant for Young Adults. In a brand new position since the
beginning of 2000 is Rev. Jonalu Johnstone, the district's Growth Consultant. And the far
flung operation is kept together by the district's able Office Administrator, Connie Nolen
in the District Office at 6720 Brentwood Stair Rd, Ft. Worth, TX 76112 swduua@aol.com.
