Is That Building Sold Yet?

Two months ago I reported that the Lakeline Office Park building (our former home) is under contract. By the time you read this, the sale should be finalized. The closing date was scheduled for October 31. Yes, this has taken longer than either party expected. In a forthcoming newsletter I’ll review all the details of this transaction and also the 2005 budget year.

Free Lawn Care Has Ended! We Need Your Help!

The Facilities Committee is asking for direct contributions to the 2005 Lawn Care Fund. For the last 18 months we have had free lawn care provided by a non-member, who was fulfilling court directed community service hours. He has completed his debt sooner than we anticipated. There was no money in the 2005 budget for lawn care and we have been unable to find a volunteer to coordinate and/or complete the necessary yard upkeep for the remainder of this budget year. So we need to raise $500 to pay for lawn care for the remainder of the year. If you wish to contribute, please mail a check to the church and note LAWN FUND. Any funds we collect beyond what is needed in 2005 will roll into the 2006 budget.

Lakeline Office Park Under Contract

The old church building at 12310 RR 620N is again under contract to sell. We have been trying to sell that building for the last 15 months. We have had it under contract once before, but the deal fell through. If this sale completes, the closing will occur in mid-September. Several years ago the Steering Committee approved a proposal that any proceeds from this building sale would be applied to an endowment. I hope to report the successful sale of the building and the financial details in next month’s newsletter.
